Top embarrassing massage therapy moments
With 27+ years of massage therapy experience, it would be a shocker if I hadn't utterly embarrassed myself at times.
In case you need a pick me up, let me regale my biggest disasters in massage career.
Let's start with the honorable mentions of mortifying moments in my massage therapy career.
DROPPED onto my client's back while providing fab barefoot massage:
π§΄8 oz hand sanitizer
π€ cream container
π eyeglasses slid off my face
πΆ glasses plopped from the top of my head
I also plunked a bamboo stick on a client's head (while standing with 2 feet firmly planted on the floor).
Strangely enough, I yanked a client's HAIR by sitting on it.
Did you know that during barefoot massage, you can step on voluptuous side-boob? Or get your toes stuck in a thong waistband? 'nough said.π
Items I've BROKEN during a massage
πΈ glass cupping cup
π ceramic garbage can. Twice.
𧴠a recently filled large bottle of oil
π₯ shattered a glass full of drinking water (while doing mat massage & attempting to not step on it while giving best massage ever)
π« my pride and my bum. See #1 below...

3. The accidental graze
Finishing the massage, I swept my hands lightly over the sheet, directly on his crotch.
2. The non-intentional stripping
Gently pulling a Mother Earth pillow off my client's back, I turned to carry it to the hot towel cabi. Turns out, I took the sheet too.
Yup, nekked to her knees.
1. The great fall
As my client blissfully dozed, I decided not to lower my creaking electric table to the proper setting so I could stand on it after cupping. As it was too high, I didn't step up hard enough and violently plummented backwards.
Onto the corner of a pointy walnut table.
Onto my stereo system.
Onto my extra cups.
Onto my arse.
Clatter! Crash!
And the sound...of silence
The client did wake up. π€£
